NY FORWARD
Village of Moravia Awarded NY Forward Grant
The Village of Moravia is an inaugural recipient of a NY Forward grant. The Village's Comprehensive Plan focuses on natural resource protection and downtown revitalization. The Plan was drafted by a steering committee comprised of a diverse group of community members and relied on extensive public input to form its foundation.
Chief Goals
"Recognize, promote, and reinvest in the downtown as the vital economic and social center of the Village,” and to “expand opportunities for businesses that align with the vision of a vibrant downtown.” Implementation measures included wayfinding, gateway, and public space improvements, as well as supporting and encouraging private investment in commercial and residential properties.
